I know this has probably already been covered, but I searched and searched and couldn't find any answers, so now I'm posting to hopefully get some help.

I'm trying to jailbreak my iTouch, but I have firmware 1.1.2.
I have the 1.1.1 firmware, and I follow all the instruction in the readme that came in a jailbreak method posted here.

My problem is, after following the process step-by-step, restoring, and rebooting my iTouch, I am still in 1.1.2.
I have already tried the downgrade numerous times, with the same result.

Am I doing something wrong, or is something else going on that I am not aware of?

What's the problem? Open iTunes, hold shift, click restore, pick 1.1.1.1 and make sure its not 1.1.1.2 there's like 5 numbers.

I do, I do all that.

And this is the filename of the 1.1.1 firmware:
    iPhone1,1_1.1.1_3A109a_Restore

I'm not sure if it makes a difference that is says iPhone instead of iPod Touch; I'd assume not though, from what I've read here.

Edit: Yay, now I have a new problem: whenever I hold the power and home buttons to go into recovery mode, as soon as the iTouch shuts off it gets disconnected from iTunes, and therein not recognizing that I am trying to enter into recovery mode.
