iOS 4.0 Problem Downgrading ipt3g from 4.0 to 3.1.3 HELP!!!

    I Have A IPT 3g 4.0 gm ...i got it to gm from 3.1.3 in a vmware...went great upto the point about the udid...so now it shows a recovery logo....

    how do i go back to 3.1.3 ( I Dont Want 4.0)?
    i tried restoring in windows ....it gave me error 13 loads of times about 10....tried with mac..didnt work out either....im using shift restore on both of them....now its in recovery still.....even when i try dfu(black screen) it still goes back to recovery....

    PLEASE HELP!!

    You are just not putting it into dfu correctly- to be honest it is quite hard to do. Just keep trying for DFU and the Shift+Restore to 3.1.3.

    aagghh, same here.!!! I keep trying to restore every time! it's soo annoying! if it helps I updated from 3.1.3 to 4.0 on a Mac and I'm trying to downgrade on a pc. I've tried many dfu modes including the ones on this forum

    hold your home button for 10 seconds then plug in your ipod cable while holding the home button still and it will go into dfu

    try 3.1.2 i had a similar issue and that solved it.

    Hi yohanns23, Power it down by holding the sleep/lock button and sliding to power off. Once it’s powered down, press and hold both the sleep/lock button and the home button for ten seconds.
    After ten seconds, release the power button but continue holding down the home button. If you did it right, iTunes will pop up a window (like the one below) telling you that it’s detected an iPhone in recovery mode and your iPhone’s screen will be black. If it didn’t work, start from the beginning and try again.
