Probably the simplest 1.1.3 jailbreak - MAC ONLY [now pc too?]

First of all, get the 1.1.1 firmware and 1.1.2 firmware
If you have itunes 7.5 you don need anything else, if you have 7.6 dont worry,
simply download a program called iNdependence
Firstly downgrade your ipod to 1.1.1 firmware by holding option[alt] and clicking update on itunes [NOT RESTORE], select the 1.1.1.ispw file and wait a realllyy long time for it to finish.
go to jailbreakme.com and jailbreak your 1.1.1
in installer navigate to tweaks and download oktoprep
after that is done update to 1.1.2 in itunes by the option+click method
when you open springboard all the normal icons will be there but installer is gone,
    not a problem.
now run the conceited software 1.1.2
by click the jar file [mac only]
make up a 6 digit ssh password and click the install ssh option, then hit jailbreak and wait.
SKIP THIS IF YOU HAVE ITUNES 7.5,
    Itunes 7.6 users only,
your ipod will be stuck at the recovery mode screen, dont freak! its normal,
now run iNdependence, it should say, iphone not found or some other error screen, thats what its supposed to do.
your ipod should now be out of the recovery screen and begin rebooting 1-2 times.
now navigate to installer again and download BSD subsytem from the system folder.
add this source to your installer, http://ipodtouchmaster.com/files/repo.xml
    dont do anything yet,
go back to springboard, setting -> general -> screen lock, set it to never.
go back to installer and select the 1.1.3 jailbreak +apps folder,
make sure you have REALIABLE wifi and connected to a power source as this will take anywhere from 30 mins to an hour.
when your ipod reboots youll be in 1.1.3, open installer and download bosstool,
DONT DOWNLOAD ANY OTHER APPS BEFORE THIS OR YOULL RUN OUT OF SPACE.
open up bosstools, itll say you have 1mb free, select move fonts [not move apps because it does not currently have a move apps function for 1.1.3] and it should free up 80mbs of space,
    youre done,
please refer to my other thread for some fully working apps, [includes full working apollo+customize]

    - after that is done update to 1.1.2 in itunes by the option+click method

How can you update from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 in this manner when the option-click method restores your iPod therefore wiping out oktoprep in the process?

I've already tried getting to a jailbroken iPod via 1.1.1 and this does not work.

the option click, meaning on update, not restore, thats why i said, CLICK UPDATE NOT RESTORE,
    updating keeps the oktoprep changes.
    it works

I'm going to try this in a bit... can you really downgrade to 1.1.1 by using the upgrade button?
