    Hey guys,
was just wondering how many ipods have been completely unrepairable after a jailbreak? So a restore couldn't fix it. I don't really have much knowledge on the subject but jailbroke my touch when i first got it, I restored it incase it broke just after the warranty starting. Also if i decide to do it would you reccommend using xwinpwn, winpwn 2.0.0.(1/2/3) as i can create a firmware with them all,

    cheers.

There is zero chance you'll brick your device.

As for the applications, I believe both of them are pretty stable.

Although I have not used xWinPwn, I tried it and found that it did not work as well as winpwn did for me. Winpwn can also customize your boot and recovery logos, allowing you to boot with a windows logo instead (a must for me).

I appreciate the reply's, Just one mre question, If i leave the custom boot images in winpwn unchecked will it leave the apple logo or will it put that pineapple in?

On the jaibreaking topic i'm going to leave it 'til i come back off my hols. Hopefully by then apple have released this update and theres a jailbreak for it with more apps.

If you don't check custom logos, it'll leave you with the normal images.

If I can jailbreak it without problems, you can too.

I've not heard of any Touch's getting bricked.

I too, was apprehensive and have been waiting not-so-patiently for enough people to give it a go and report their problems and issues.

I finally jailbroke my Touch last night with Winpwn 2.0.0.2 and had zero issues. I wrote up a review of how the jailbreak went that might ease your mind and give you an idea of what to expect.

No one has bricked their iPod because it's impossible.
Do whatever you want to S5L; there's no way to cause irreversible damage.

I saw one bricked with my very eyes yesterday using winpwn. It's on the way to the Apple Store now
