prepare an ipod for sale

    hey, the other day my first ipod touch 2g got the white screen of death but i was still under waranty so they gave me a brand new one for free. however, with the 3G touch likely around the corner i'm gona sell my new touch. however, i was wandering what i need to do security wise before i sell. i don't want some random Amazon user knowing my credit card details or what not

    Well i think the safest thing to do is just restore it to factory defaults..

    Do a DFU restore, then set it up as a new iPod.

    Do not setup as a new iPod. Let the buyer do that, so that no issues appear while first sync and backup. Just restore, and make sure your iTunes store account on the computer is logged off, or your store acc will be stored on the iPod.
