    Hi,

there's an image for the free VMware Player available on
    ftp://ftp.iphonefix.de/iPhoneToolchain VMWare Image/One_Archive/
which includes everything you should need to start developing apps for the iPod touch (or iPhone)

According to the README file the image is based on Debian 4R1 i386 and includes demo sources (HelloWorld)

Hopefully this makes it easier for some people to get through the initial configuration proccess before they are ready-to-go

Since nobody seems willing to convert the SID player I so desperately want, I'm going to try and figure out how the hell to do it myself, which given previous programming ventures does not fill me with hope...

You just need vmware server or vmware player - both are freeware for windows. The environment itself *is* linux, but that's pretty much the right environment for the toolchain... they coulda used freebsd, I guess

I think the server is broken, is there any mirror?
