    How sick would that be...

Im thinking of doing it... i just need to buy extra backplates so that i can keep the original just in case i have to take it to Apple.

I was either thinking it of doing just a Jet Black with a glossy clear coat on top... or this awesome glittery black...

My brother and his cousins do it for their own parts for their cars (Brother has a 240SX and my cousin has a RX7)

    (Kinda dirty huh...)

They don't have the iTouch, but powerbookmedic.com lists the iPhone backplate for $49.95. They buy straight from Apple.
I don't think buying a new plate would be very cost-effective.

Anyway, you can paint the outside without voiding the warranty, so no worries about ever needing to send it back looking new.

Hehe... you gota take it off, or else the iPod will melt...

The Powder Coating process goes like this...

First you have to prep it, by making it bare metal, you have to sand it. Then you clean it, and then you start "shooting" powder on it and then put it in a oven to melt the powder. Take it out and Wallah! Beautiful.

    Then take it off first.

Or you could just paint it normally.
