    If they actually did this, I'd actually come back and buy one.
    I highly doubt they'd put 1GB of ram on the iPod Touch especially seeing as its been at 256mb for almost 3 years now. But they really need to get rid of the 8GB model and bring back the 16GB model.

    The 5th generation iPod touch is coming with a sim card facility for internet connection as it is with iPad. This might be similar to iPhone but it can't handle calls.

    4 axis gyro? I know I don't pay that much attention in maths, but a 3 axis is length, width and height, so is the 4th time?

    Certainly a better camera would be welcome, as would more RAM. I guess than cannot really do too much to make it thinner...

    Look at the SIXAXIS PS3 controller. Basically they tilt them a bit to fit another one in.
    Look at this image, this is two-dimentional, but there are three axis of gyro. Can you see how that would increase the accuracy? They just take this, add an axis in the very middle (pointing through the screen and straight at you) and move them around a bit to even it out.
