Whenever I run installer under the Official Dev 1.1.3 JB, it downloads the package and upon trying to install it, it says "Main execution script failed..."

I have done the most recent version of the Official JB. All I have done since then is move and symlink my Applications directory (code attached)

Can anyone help me out? I am battle weary and worn out after 24 hours of trying to get a working JB under 1.1.3.

    My installer version is: 3.0b10

Sigh. Why didn't I just stay with the Nate JB....

    cd /
    mv Applications Applications_
    mkdir /private/var/Applications
    ln -s /private/var/Applications /Applications
    cd /Applications
    cp -R /Applications_/* .
    rm -r /Applications_

And the Skylar method is? Search is disabled, I can't find it.

its posted as a sticky in the regular jailbreak forums.

He made the official dev jailbreak into an installer script and repo.

    It worked, except for this.

I get the script error as well, even on things like iSwitcher AE 1.1.3.

    Hey guys.

We should learn to read directions.

Open installer and read the home page.

    Good luck

Are you talking about the bit way down at the bottom, that you have to scroll to see? The bit about running Cmod and that installer has to be changed to use the mobile user?

    I actually read here:

    http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30562&page=59

That the whole problem we're having is because we didn't update to the new installer in 1.1.2 before going to 1.1.3. I know I didn't...

I'm redoing 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 to 1.1.3 Official Dev for the... ummm. How many now? *Scratches head* I think maybe 10th time. Will report when I get there if this resolves it.

Yes, that is what I am talking about.

Run those commands and everything works as usual. (at least for me)

For the record, I did have the latest version of installer.

    Yep that works

First ssh into your ipod through the terminal with this command

    ssh root@you.rIP.add.res

then enter the commands on the installer homepage, making sure to press return after each one

    cd /Applications
    chmod +s Installer.app/Installer
    chown -R root:wheel Installer.app
