This might be a possible solution for the untethered jailbreak:
You can edit the boot sequence and put the RUN RS in it. So, everytime you reboot it will automatically run the RUN RS instead of something else elsending the command. This might work but I don't know how to do it. Someone who knows what they are doing should try this.

??? i thought about that too. Like an AUTOEXEC.BAT file on Windows? make i say run rs when it runs. I think that requires patching of some filesystem (LLB or iBoot) which requires a bootrom exploit to be untethered. Even worse, the boot sequence is IN the bootrom.

I was also wondering if there was a semi-semi-tethered option. Could there be a way to semi-jailbreak, boot into the jailbroken state, then install a file at the user level that can execute the 'run rs' command after rebooting into the non-jailbroken state? Basically, you would boot the original unmodified kernal, then run the 'jailbreak on the fly' program through something like touchterm, which would reboot and patch the kernal?

Stop me if I'm going too n00b on you

Ya. There could be a way to make terminal look like an app store app and then do it that way.

    No.
    That is all.

I would explain why, but there are over 9000 other threads all proposing this same "solution".
