Possible to keep wifi on continuously..(even while ipod on sleep?)

    it seems everytime my ipod goes to sleep or w/e u call it..iwhen i press the home button to unlock and everything..the wifi disconnects and then connects which causes mobile chat to sign off...

    any ideas/suggestions?

    WiFi turns off automatically to save power... Its a sleep mode, you don't need internet

    Well although its unpreventable, autodisconnect can be turned off with future update/app

    JohnTool is supposed to do that.

    Sorry, I haven't gotten that app. Never tried it, but since SkylarEC said that JohnTool does the trick you should give it a try

    I haven't tested it, so I can't say for sure. But here's how it works:

    When you tap the button, the app will look like it crashed back to the SpringBoard. It didn't. It was only supposed to do one simple thing, and it did it. It disabled power management, which by proxy disables the WiFi killing. Power Management will stay disabled until you reboot. Not respring, but reboot.
