    [POSSIBLE]Idea For Tethered Users

I just thought of this. Wouldn't it be possible to make an app that emulates an older/modified firmware on the ipt2g? Forgive me if it sounds n00bish, as I see the complications it might have. So yeah, an app like that, and with a button sequence, it will go back to it's original firmware. Sort of an improved semi-tethered.

    Just a thought.

Emulates is your key word there.

Die of heart failure. I didn't ask to get flamed, it's just an idea, your the one who couldn't boot his iPod on the other thread right? =p

Yeah it's emulation, but it can basically turn it into another semi tethered or something. Just something at the top of my head.

It's confusing. Basically emulate another iPod firmware with an app -_-

What Exosion is trying to say is that if you are trying to boot it, how will you access and execute the emulation app that if you or someone else made when the iPod Touch 2G isn't even functional?

Meh, they did something like this for the PSP, so I was just wondering.

    Thanks for the clear-up.

Ok I get what you mean. With the PSP they were able to implement the 1.50 kernel because the fat PSP supported it. On the Slims they weren't able to because the lowest firmware the Slim had was like 3.60. Same here with the 2G. The lowest firmware it has is 2.1.1.
