hearing those words from the mouth of a mod, is like being told you've just developed a terminal cancer

Jailbreaking and unlocking will not disappear.
They have a wide variety of countries covered, something around 72, but there still aren't contracts in major countries (see the two most important: China and Russia).
Jailbreaking is still useful though, since you can't theme your iPhone, which is probably the main reason for most.
Imagine if that was allowed though..
And personally, I don't think emulators really matter when you have even better games. :)

I have a feeling Steve ended the jailbreak community.

I really hope that the 3G phone will be jailbreakable since I'm willing on getting one (only if its jailbreakable)

Well..lets see. Installer has many more options...hopefully...maybe apps from AppStore will be transported to 1.1.4 Installer for us. If thats the case, I would happily stay with Installer all the way. I am hoping INstaller will be ported to 2.0, but if not. It will be a tough decision to make. And...I am sorry to speak my mind..but I believe the jailbreaking community will die. People won't stay on 1.1.4 when Apple introduces cooler things on 2.1.4 or 3.0 lol. If 2.0 is not jailbreakable (which I am hoping is not)...then we will definitely start dying out.

But..idk about u guys...I think that Jobs allows us to jailbreak at a point. He doesn't mind it. I don't know about you guys, but my iPhone would be a lot more boring without Installer and jailbreaking.

Sorry for the negative thoughts lol.

If he doesn't mind it, why is it against the Terms of Agreement for iPhones and iPod Touches?
