    Hello everyone.

I want to buy MyWi, but am scared after reading about Rock and what it does or can do.

If I install Rock, purchase and install MyWi, and never use Rock except for updating MyWi, will I notice a difference in the way my phone operates? Differences such as a loss in battery life, random crashing, or the spinning pinwheel? I imagine everything would be okay as long as I'm not using it, but so many people have said so many bad things about it. I'm just not sure anymore.

    Thanks.

Yeah, Rock is kinda iffy. For some it works fine, and for others it messes up their device. IMO, if you are only going to use it once, then do it.

I personally have rock and have not experienced any major problems with it. Its kinda unstable like cydia but nothing major. You should be fine with rock.

The only "big" problem I have with rock is that it changes permissions sometimes and messes up other applications.

I used to have Rock, but now I just use Cydia, because Rock was kind of fancy, which froze my iPod touch 2G due to lack of memory.

I alternate with rock and cydia on my ipod and so far have only found problems with cydia.

Have you noticed anything different in the way your iPod operates?

As others have said, Rock is pretty unstable. On some devices they have no problems, but on others it screws everything up.
It shouldn't be a problem just getting it, and only using it to get MyWi though.
