I was using blackra1n on a 32gb ipod touch 3g using 3.1.2 and i hit Make it Rain.

I went into firefox, waiting for the screen to pop up. After a long while, it didn't. The ipod screen is black, like turned off black, and I unplugged it, which i think made it worse.

I have tried going into emergency recovery 10 billion times, but nothing seems to work, HELP!

    Try DFU mode,

Once your iPod is fully off (and plugged into the computer), hold Power for 5 - 10 seconds, then go and hold down home and power (without releasing power) for 30 seconds, and then release power but keep holding home until you hear a "du du" on your computer. Then, open up iTunes and select "Restore" and you should be good to go. You will have to restore to 3.1.3 firmware though, then you have to downgrade if you want to jailbreak.

Try this, another note don't do other things whilst jailbreaking - you will most likely make a mistake if your not concentraiting on what your doing.

And another thing, YOU CAN NOT brick a ipt with any jailbreaking tool

You can't. Only ways to "brick" your iPod that I know of is to type a death command into terminal, or unplug it while its loading boot files (which means it won't turn on now). Of course if you take this literally theres many ways to "brick" an iPod..
