I was using blackra1n on a 32gb ipod touch 3g using 3.1.2 and i hit Make it Rain.

I went into firefox, waiting for the screen to pop up. After a long while, it didn't. The ipod screen is black, like turned off black, and I unplugged it, which i think made it worse.

I have tried going into emergency recovery 10 billion times, but nothing seems to work, HELP!

is the backlight on or off? Hold the power + home button until the backlight turns off (if it's on) and back on and then let go of power and it should go into dfu recovery. If it doesn't work try it both when it's plugged in and unplugged. Otherwise just leave it for a while and try again later.

... -.- I hate retarded kids who can't DFU mode while their device is turned off and calling it "bricked?" My goodness go hit yourself with a brick please and tell us if your iPod is bricked. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KmHNSE3CZI&feature=related
Follow that but skip the turning off your "bricked" iPod step.

I had the same problem. Let it sit for 2 or 3 days so the battery dies the plug it in, let it charge for 15 min then enter DFU mode as the post above said.
