I am on my third ipod touch 2g becuase of various problems (such as dead pixels and dents) This ipod touch 2g has very poor battery life, I cant give you exact numbers, but will restoring possibly fix the problem? Should I return it again and get my fourth?

    Thanks

Restoring couldn't possibly hurt it. It's worth a shot; you never know.

Wow, what bad luck. Try the restore, if not, take it to an Apple store and complain.

I'm glad that mine hasn't had any issues. It doesn't justify the purchase of AppleCare, but I'm sure I'll be using it knowing how much of a klutz I am.

I would also recommend fully recharging and then testing the battery life with audio. Wifi seems to wreak havok on my battery's life.

WiFi is a battery beast, no matter what the situation.

i have a 1g ipod touch and i charge it every night but it only lasts halfway through my school day even with brightness at the lowest and i dont even use it that much. is that enough to complain to apple about to get a new one with a battery life of 3-4 hours even when not in use?

You're JAILBROKEN. So thats one reason why your battery is goin to shat. That is if you have background apps. And whatever else is running in the background that you don't know of.
