    Who is he?

Creator of AutoSHSH - GUI to Umbrella
    Creator of f0recast
    Creator of iBooty
    Creator of iDetector
    Creator of iREB
    Creator of Payload Pwner
    Creator of sn0wbreeze
Discovered the AT+XEMN crash in September 2009, which was exploited in blacksn0w.

    Why there is arguments?

    1) He never made his own tool using just an exploit.

Counter:He has ported xPwn and payloads over to windows in sn0wbreeze though.

    1) He created the iBooty method of jailbreaking past 3.1.2.

Counter: Although he did, he didn't use anything new in it. He ported over the exploit used in blackra1n on 3.1.2 and carried it over in a custom iBoot/iBSS/iBEC versions.

    What do you guys think?

    NOTE:

If any 2 people get in a personal childish argument I will delete the thread.
I am making this just to see how people feel, since it is a current argument over at the wiki.

I personally would classify him as a porter/programmer. Since he never actually made a tool just port mac versions and I he used the same exploit a few times.

BTW Is the note because of the flame war over at [FAQ]ios4.1 and you?

It is because it happens in a lot of threads, but that is the recent one that annoyed me.

You can't delete threads I'm afraid, you'll have to ask a mod
I'd pretty much just class him as a programmer, xpwn is crossplatform so he didn't port that. He's just a windows programmer in my opinion

I personally don't classify him as a hacker and never will.

What makes you say he never will? I really like him and isn't he quite young. Even if he hasn't built his own jb he has done some remarkable things if he is as young as I think he is. I think right now he might not be but he has a future

Who cares? He makes tools.. they help the community, who cares if he is a 'hacker' or not as long as he continues to create useful tools.

Isn't ih8sn0w a jailbreak maker? Rofl if he is then he should be a hacker. He may be using same stuff for each firmware but helps you jailbreak right?

Nope he isn't. He doesn't come up with his own exploits , I am not saying it is easy , just pointing out that all his stuff is updates of devices that are already pwned for life. And using an old exploit and transferring it to a new OS updated when it is already pwned , doesn't make him even close to the level of the Dev team , the Chronic team and do I daresay , Geohot.
