I have the newest gpsPhone 2.5.0 on my jailbroken 8GB ipod Touch. I tried out Pokemon Emerald and the sound is very scratchy. The picture always lags as well. It is playable but with earphones its annoying.. Does anyone else experience this problem as well with Emerald?

Is it just Emerald or are all of the games like this? or is it just pokemon games?

Anyone have any ideas/suggestions on how to fix this? Thnx!!

Turing off the sound will make it a bit faster. If that doesn't work, try a different GBA BIO.

So the sound is naturally choppy like this?

I don't think the problem is the GBA Bios, since they're all the same

I think you can get different Bios', some work better then others. Also try a different Emerald ROM.

No that's wrong. There are several types of bios. Some work great and some are horrible

Does the game (w/ sound) run completely smooth for you? Like exactly as if it was on a GBA?

Are your expectations that high? Well, they shouldn't be. You shouldn't have a standard to compare to. Comparing this emulator to the actual GBA device. That's fine, but it's an assumption you shouldn't take. Expect choppier (to a reasonable extent) graphics and lower-quality sound.
