Can anyone help , I just bought the new itouch 2nd gen. I have been using my ipod classic with the pocketdocket attachment for audio out to my amplified system for backing tracks and music for gigging as a musician.
But it doesn't work on the new itouch 2nd generation.
Is there anyway of getting sound to my speakers without going through the head phone socket.
This is mostly what I use the ipod for and i am now peaved off after spending all that money.

I assume you're referring to the PocketDock from SendStation. I've got one on my 1st gen Touch, and it works fine. I didn't realize that they made changes to the line out connections on the 2nd gen model.

I would suggest heading over to the head-fi website.

The portable source forum, the cables and accessories forum, should both be able to guide you to finding a working line out connector. I'm sure at worst case one of the builders over there can make one for you.

    Good luck
