we recently sent my, and my friends ipod touch 3g's to the official apple service company in poland... (both are a couple of months old) (the problem was that BOTH ipods just woudnt do anything. Screens black, itunes and computer not recognising)
anyways, so i got this email today - (translated) This equipment has been diagnosed and is awaiting delivery of parts.
Expected time of completion of repairs: 2010-07-15. Scheduled date of receipt of parts may be changed.
for my ipod which was un-jailbroken.

i did not get the email for my friends ipod (but hope ill get it soon - tomorrow maybe? hopefully...

anyways, the problem is my friends ipod WAS jailbroken. SO if they fix the ipods, and then turn his on, and notice that it is jailbroken, what will likely happen then?

    or else what?

They'll probably just restore it to 4.0 and bye-bye jailbreak.

If they don't send back the iPod, sue them because that's stealing.

They might not fix it, as it voids the warranty as you are changing there software.

but as i understand they shoudnt be able to see that it is jailroken as they probably woudnt be able to turn it on unless they fix it.....

To fix it, they'll probably flash it and erase all files so you might get away with it unless they fix it without restoring and see the jailbreak

They will problably fix it and restore it to 4.0 most likely they will say that 4.0 fixed it
