You can only upgrade from 1.1.2. So upgrade to that.

Or you can update through iTunes, but the you lose all your jailbreak apps, etc.

First of all this is the 1.1.4 Jailbreak forum! If you need to go to 1.1.4 then just do a restore in itunes.

    Okay here's the full guide.

    1) Download ZiPhone 2.6b
    2) You can select to reboot your iPod in DFU mode. Do that.
    3) Restore firmware to 1.1.4 from DFU mode. It will unjailbreak your iPod.
    4) Set up your iPod as normal, sync back any videos or music, doesn't matter.
    5) Open ZiPhone 2.6b and click JAILBREAK IPOD. Make sure you click the one that says iPod or else it won't work.
    6) Wait up to 40 seconds
    7) You're done.

Dont want to hijack the Ops thread but I am in a similar position. Chort27 can I just clarify something.
Are steps 2 & 3 effectively just plugging in your jailbroken 1.1.1 ipod into itunes and selecting to upgrade to the latest version (ie) 1.1.4? Its just that step 3 says to "restore" but surely given that we are on 1.1.1 it should be "upgrade"?

    Thanks in advance

No, you NEED to restore, because if you just upgrade it will leave previous jailbreak data. Restore is practically the same as DFU, but you oftentimes get errors when you are in restore mode. DFU doesn't have this problem

Thanks a mill for the quick response. I think you can prob guess my next question...When you say restore is this the restore option on Itunes? Or when you say "reboot your iPod in DFU mode" and "Restore firmware to 1.1.4 from DFU mode" are these options that are in ZiPhone?

You can try just hitting restore in the iTunes iPod info screen, but when you boot into DFU mode from ZiPhone, itunes will show a window saying "iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode... blah blah blah". Click restore from your iPod screen and you should be all set.
