Plz Help !! CuteFTP 8 can't connect with my iPod

    Usually everyday i connect to install theme and program with CuteFTP 8 work always but today it can not connect.

    So i try to making a new connection wizard today.

    i use username is : root
    password is : alpine

    but today i making a new connection wizard

    the programs show me error is :

    The host validation failed.Check that the username and password are correct.Press No to skip check

    What wrong with it??????,and if pass change // where can i change it back??

    i havent used cuteftp in awhile but last time i did, it didnt support SFTP, verify you are using SFTP on port 22

    i cant imagine that it would give that error message if you werent though so.... hmm, if the password is changed for some odd reason a full restore will reset it

    use winscp it is WAY easier unless your on a mac then i have no idea what to do.

    i use SFTP port 22 to connection but the result connect is

    STATUS:] [25/10/2550 8:45:44] Initializing SFTP21 module...
    STATUS:] [25/10/2550 8:45:44] Connecting to SFTP server... 192.168.1.3:22 (ip = 192.168.1.3)...
    ERROR:] [25/10/2550 8:45:46] The remote host actively refused the attempt to connect to it.
    1) Verify that the destination server name or IP address is correct
    2) Verify that the connection port number is correct (under Site Settings | Type tab).
    3) The remote server may be temporarily or permanently inaccessible (try again later).
    4) Verify that you have chosen the right protocol (SSH2, SSL, FTP, etc.) and have setup all required options for that protocol.
    5) Verify that the destination IP address and port numbers are correct.
    6) The remote server may be refusing multiple connections from the same client. Try using only one connection thread when connecting to this particular server (Site Settings | Options).
    7) Try pinging the address.
    8) If you are using a router, verify the router is up and running (check by pinging it and then ping an address outside of the router).
    9) Do a traceroute to the destination to verify all routers along the connection path are operational.
    10) Verify that your subnet mask is setup properly.
    11) Verify that your local software or hardware firewall is not blocking outbound connections originating from CuteFTP.
    12) Verify that your anti-virus software is not at fault (try disabling it).

    i download new program is winscp

    i type

    1.host name is ip address ? and port number is 22 ?
    2.user : root
    3.pass : alpine
    4.file protocol is SFTP

    and then i login
    program show error about network error.connection refused

    -*- have another way to connection ? -*-

    sounds like your ssh server isnt running... hmmm did you reboot the ipod after you did the steps to get ssh on there? i havent tried the new jailbreak methods i did the 74 step so im not real sure when the ssh server gets installed
