Hi, im brand new here like ok i go to apple support for ipod touch but it was no help. so anyways im using my ipod touch 2nd generation, and i set it down for a minute, and then the screen goes into "hibernate" so i push the home button and the screen remains black, so i push it again, nothing. so i try pushing the power button, and still nothing, not even the flashing battery and squiggly arrow, so the batter isnt dead. so i plug it into my usb adaptaor (so i can charge it at a wall plug) and still nothing, so i plug it into my computer and itunes openes like normal and it syncs with my pod as normal, but my pod doesn't say syncing slid to cancle, it stays blank. i try hitting the home and power buttons again but no luck. please please please please help!

    Make sure your powered off.

Hold home and power buttons for 10 seconds then release power and continue holding home for another 8-10 seconds.

Turn up your speakers and you will know you did it when.

    A) iTunes opens up saying your in restore mode.
    B) You will hear the device recognized or whatever chimes.

It's just a glitch with most new iPods, hold the power and home button for 5 seconds, it'll restart, just search around before you claim your iPod is "dead"
