Please Help! :(

    Hey I got my iPoT tonight, the first ipod ive ever owned

    But when i connect to iTunes and try to add music it stops and says "Cannot add music as the device is not connected"

    Help?

    What kind of computer is it?
    Does the USB connection charge your iPod?
    Is it the right cable? Connected properly?

    Yes everything is connected properly and the iPod is charging from the PC, ive restored now several times after various problems and i'm next going to try and add my albums one at a time, ill see how it goes

    I had that same problem and so i downloaded the newest version of itunes and after that it worked just fine.

    hard restore if all else fails but id try ^^ first

    Lol no, i read on one of the online support docs that desktop mods can cause the problem, so i reset to windows classic and disabled my dock prog

    Id never used itunes beforehand so when i started i immediately updated to 7.5

    Tried hard restoring a few times, Still the same error when i try to sync.
