    Hello,
    i have a ipod touch 2g running 3.1.2 firmware.
i had it jail broken a long time ago , but recently i encountered a frustrating problem.
The music and video on my itouch doesn't display. ( says "no content - you can download music from itunes")(by the way, when i plug into iTunes, the music and videos are there.)

i restored about 5 times today, each time with no success.
    these are my procedures
    1) open up itunes
    2) restore ipod
    3) run black rain
    4) download free itunes app
    5) install cydia
    6) i carefully downloaded mandatory cydia apps such as the app sync for 3.1.2 and winterboard.
    7) i sync the music and videos from my library to my ipod
    8) so far so good, still displaying
    9) install cracked itunes apps
    10) all the apps work fine, but music and video says no content.

    please help

hypothetically speaking, what if it was important to have all the apps?
    any other way?

Yes. Do a factory restore, don't jailbreak, and buy all those apps. That'll fix the issue.

Is there a thread about doing a factory restore?
If there isn't, i beg you post one.
    I'm sorry for my dumbness.

not as far as i know, but the search box at the top works great. it really is easy though. just go to your ipod's page in itunes and click restore. then just let itunes do its thing.

Don't be a petty thief. The App Store is majorly populated by small developers, many of whom rely on sales revenue to feed themselves and their families.
