I recently purchased an iPad, and I synced all my iPod Touch apps to my iPad, but when I run the apps, they are still in iPod touch format. I'm pretty sure this is normal, but it's starting to get annoying. Is there an easy way to change the formats without purchasing the iPad version (HD version) of all the apps?

Well do you want to do that or would you like to pay for them?

I'll have to do it but I think Apple's being stupid.

Note that it's not Apple doing it - they've given the developers an option to do Universal releases... but some, like EA, prefer to sell the games again. Others, like Astraware/Handmark, release the HD versions in the same packages that they sold their regular iPhoneOS versions with.
