    Hi all,

I was playing around with Customize and I set Springboard icons to zero.

All of my Springboard icons have gone, which means I can't access installer or Customize or Summerboard to change any of this!

Can anyone help me? I'd really appreciate it.

    Many thanks in advance!

Can you access customize using the dock application?

I'm very new to this, I'm not sure what you mean. On my dock, I only have four icons - Mail, Safari, Video and Music.

SSH to your ipod and run
    /Applications/Customize.app/Customize

and change the settings for springboard icons back to a number other than zero

    Hi Jaydem,

    Thanks for the suggestion.

I've been accessing my touch via Cyberduck. When you say SSH to the ipod and run Customize, I'm not entirely sure how to do that. I know how to find that location with Cyberduck, but I'm not sure how to 'run'.

Is this something I should do with Terminal?

On windows, run putty and login to your iPod, then when you get a "#" type /Applications/Customize.app/Customize

I don't know the mac equivalent.

I'm in a similar situation . . . I accidentally set both the "installer" and "customize" icons to be hidden . . . don't know how to get them back visible seeing as I can't access customize anymore.

when you say change the number to something other than "0" are you referring to where it says something like "calling for number of rows in group: 0"

I can't really remember, but it's under one of the menus within Customize (a menu one level down from the screen where you re-order your apps on the Springboard).
