I have a 32GB itouch 2g. I recieved it about 4 months ago, and decided recently to jb it. I tried using QuickFreedom on my Windows Vista 32bit laptop, and took every cautionary step that multiple sites told me in order for the libUSB to work properly, but when I install it, it still freezes up all USB ports and doesn't recognize my iPod. I am totally new to this, could somebody help me out, or tell me whats going wrong?

I had the exact same problem.. but wasnt smart enough to realize it was because of the software I installed =P. Do you have the ability to uninstall libusb? Ive been told you can fix it by uninstalling that program...

Yea, the first time I tried this, I didn't uninstall it first, and got the BSOD. I then tried to install libUSB 4 more times, and it always froze up the USB ports and my iPod, but remembered to uninstall it first before I shut down my laptop.

I dont want to use redsn0w cuz the only place that i can find the file is on a *******, and I dont trust those, so I'm using QuickFreedom.

    It's a p2p file transfer.
The ******* is also uploaded by the developers of redsn0w (iPhone Dev Team). They only upload in *******s. If you want, I can upload the file to [PIRACY.mf] or something.

I did exactly that, I made sure to follow every step to get it compatible with Vista 32, but it still screwed up my laptop and had to uninstall it.

Sure, that would be great! But isn't that considered a ******* too?
