Go into DFU mode and restore to an unmodified IPSW file. Then start the JB process again.

Leave the guy alone. If you thought your iPod was broken, you would be freaking out... no?

It doesn't matter what FW you restore to, because 2.2.1 will be installed over it.

Restore your iPod to 2.2.1 by putting it into DFU mode and holding Shift and clicking Restore in iTunes. Then select the 2.2.1 IPSW firmware file, it will restore your iPod. Then JB it.
