Theres a search function for a reason -_-

&&Its impossible to brick an iPod touch. You will ALWAYS be able to boot it into either recovery or DFU mode.

YES! I SAVED IT! THANK YOU! But the way that worked was by powering it off, unpluging it from the computer, then while iTunes is open, hold down the home button (until it shows up) and plug it back in the dock connecter! It will show up in recovery mode. I AM ACTUALLY SO HAPPY NOW.

guys take it easy on the newbies....

this one looks like he/she got pretty upset.

search functions work but they also do take ages and are hell-confusing. if you want to be nice, just explain the summary that you're knowledgeable about or just stfu maybe...

    sheesh

i have the same problem and i solved in this way
first connect it to itunes and wait he find the ipod. if he said the ipod is in recovery mode do this: push down the home button and the standby button until the ipod dissapears from itunes. then you can release the standby button but keep pushing the home button. then it will say something there and keep pushing the home button. this wiil work. if after the process it still remain the same hold down the shift button and click at the same time the restore button on itunes. look for 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 software and let him restore. probably you will lose all the information you have but the ipod will be like new. if you dont have the link to the software just tell me or message me to jpv123@gmail.com
