In Australia there are 2 main iphone provider, telstra and optus

say for instance that the iphone is locked to telstra
and i put the turbo sim to use with optus (prepaid)

    does the internet still work?

today i went to the shop and ask and a guy told me that if i use turbo sim, the internet will not work!!!!

    this is true?

The guy at the shop would most likely know more about this, then we would.

    Go Telstra!

And if the phone is locked for Telstra and you want to put an Optus sim in, it will not work, the phone is locked to telstra sims only!

I was with optus until my 2 year contract ended a few days ago, and now with telstra and telstra are much better and never been happy with optus.

A teacher at school has an iphone with optus and he hates it, the net is always slow, and doesn't like their coverage! So, don't go optus! Go Telstra!

Yes internet will work on the locked iphone on another network with a sim-adapter. As long as your paying for internet. You will also have to change your network APN. Google should give you the APN for your network.

Problem is if you buy an iphone now its probably going to have FW 2.2 with BB 2.28.00 and as of right now most if not all sim-adapters do not work with that baseband. But they are working on a fix for that.
