PLEASE HELP!!is this covered in the warranty??(limited 1 year)

    Ok, so i bought my ipod touch in christmas and now the headphone jack has some issues..
    the sound keeps disconnecting when i move the cord but when i use the same speakers with another device, it dosent do that.
    i went and bought new panasonic speakers and it still does the samething...!!!
    HELP
    can i get it replaced????
    i live in a place that has no apple stores
    please help me!

    It should. Just call apple (find their number on apple.com). Tell them the problem and they will send you a box to send it in

    yup u should be able to get it fixed/repleaced just dont mention anything about jailbreak or something like that.... good luck!!!

    I would restore your iPod touch back to factory defaults, as they won't replace an iPod that has been jailbroken, it voids the warranty. You do not need to have an Apple Store near by, just go to Apple.com and find their Customer Service number.

    Tell them your problem, they will send you a box to send the iPod touch in, and then depending on how long it takes, you'll receive a replacement.

    yeah...i just mailed them about the issue on their site..with my apple id
    and they asked for my address and stuff
    now i have to wait for the receipt email
    YAY i hope they give a new one XD

    uhhm sorry for the triple post but..
    will apple find out that i had jailbroken it even if i restore?
    does anyone have any experiece with this?

    If you restore, Apple can't tell you jailbroke because it'll be back to factory settings.

    ive heard rumours that they connect it to a computer and find traces of a jailbreak lol?
    anyway..judging by my problem...do u think they will replace it or fix it?
    please answer!

    Just restore and you're fine. They can't tell.
