Put your iPod in DFU mode and restore in iTunes.

    DFU Mode:

Plug your iPod into your computer and hold the Home and Power buttons until the Apple logo appears. Release the Power button, but continue to hold the Home button. iTune should pop up prompting you to restore.

    Plug it in.

Did anything happen? No Apple Logo or White flash?

If the Apple logo came on, force shut down your iPod, and hold the home/sleep buttons for 10-12 seconds. Now let go of the sleep button, and hold the home button for 5+ Seconds, until your computer recognizes an iPod in DFU mode.

The white flash: Your iPod is already in DFU mode, so try to restore. If that doesn't work, try to boot it up, while connected to iTunes. Then do the above method.

Thank you for your time. Have a nice day.

Just do what hellrider said - put it in DFU mode first. DFU mode isn't supposed to bring up anything on your screen. It should stay black, if done properly. And if you messed up your iPod like I did, then you won't have a popup in iTunes until you SUCCESSFULLY PUT IT IN DFU MODE.
