    Hi,

I tried to jailbreak my ipod touch 2nd gen with redsn0w 0.72. But during the jailbreak it just stopped and my ipod turned off. Now i can't turn my ipod back on. Does anybody know how to overcome this problem.

    Please help.
    Thanks.

Well, I can't think of anything other than putting it into DFU mode, then restoring to non-jailbroken firmware. Then retry the jailbreak using redsn0w.

you don't have to restore yet

just do the jailbreak process again

a lot of people start to panic because it doesn't work the first time... calm down

DFU is built into the iPod, just keep trying! Remember press the off button so the iPod turns off, press and hold the home and power buttons for 10 secs, then continue holding the home button for 20 secs.

It still doesn't work for me. Remember that my iPod is turned off, so redoing the jaibreak process doesn't work, because my pc doesn't recognize the device.

What am I doing wrong? This is the sequence i'm following:

Plugging in iPod Touch with usb.
    Open iTunes 8.2.
Press and holding the home and power buttons for 10 secs
Then continue holding the home button for 20 secs

Nothing happens, either in iTunes or the iPod itself.

Does anyone know the answer to this?
    Thanks.

Don't hold the home button for 20 seconds, only hold it for 8-10 seconds and see if it works.
