Ok I jailbroke my 2g ipod touch no worries last night. Put all my music, apps etc back on, fine.

Then just now I went back into itunes and it said my ipod needed to be set up. All I could do is click restore. It then said restoring and when finished it said I have 12 gig of other on it. and only 2 gig free!!!!

No music, just my apps. Whats up with that??

    Please help

u mean re-jailbreak it?? Whats to say it won't just say it wants to restore it again when I've fixed it and transfered it all back over? Takes a very long time

So Shift restore using custom or just hit restore in itunes??

    Thanks

Do the patch again, then DFU Shift-Click Restore.

The Redsn0w patch, when you get the white screen.

^ If I am not mistaken, the patch if for tethered and semi-tethered only. If he jailbroke it "last night" then it probably is untethered.

You still need to patch it again, since you're restoring with a jailbroken firmware.
And since he could only click restore, he went back to default settings. Which would require him to jailbreak again, so he'd have to redo the whole process.

even with untethered, you're still patching, it's just that the 24kpwn LLB makes it 'stick'
