i turned off my ipod, and now i cant boot it, ive tried everything but it wont boot. i have not messed with much but i deleted a self made theme through ssh (i didnt touch anything else.) after i first tried to put the theme on my actual ipod the springboard crashed and went into "safe mode" that was when i turned it off and then couldnt boot it again. wtf? i think it might be bricked. when i try to restore it itunes says that it does not have the software to restore. please help.

Are you sure that you have it in DFU mode when you are applying the patch to reboot? That may be your problem, but if you just want to restore it to default setting, download the firmware from online and use iTunes to restore it.

please for the love of god why cant people use the search button...and also you DID NOT "brick" your iPod you are just having some issue putting it in DFU mode (maybe not holding home/power buttons long enough) but if you feel like you did i will buy it off you for say $100-$150
