I have a 32gb g1 ipod touch 3.0 jailbroken, and the play counts for some songs are jumping drastically. I had a few songs that had 1 play at one sync, but when I sync up again later on in the day it jumps magically to 526. It happens with many other songs as well. I've already tried restoring again, but same result. I know it's not a big issue, but I just want to know why it happens. Can anyone help?

I know that, but I didn't play the song 500 times.

It's probably a glitch. You could try restoring it from iTunes if it bothers you that much...

Maybe you had repeat on, played the track, then put your iPod to sleep without pausing it? The track would continue to play continuously, giving you inflated play views.

The thing is, I didn't leave it on repeat. And it wouldn't play a 10 minute song 500 odd times in 3 hours. I've already reset it a few times in itunes, and tried restoring, but same issue. Maybe it's 3.0, seeing as I never had this problem with 2.2.1...

What tool did you use for jailbreaking ? Maybe that's the problem.

I think it has something to do with your jailbreak... Not sure how to go about though, as I don't own a jailbroken iPod touch though...
