Plane, ipod touch 2g

    I'm going on a plane and my ipod touch is wifi of course. Would they let me take it??? if I turn off the wifi? Thanks

    Yup. Just turn off the WiFi.
    If you're going American Airlines, you might even be able to use WiFi for internets.
    I even made a few threads going from NY to SF once!

    You don't really need to

    I've turn on Wi-FI since takeoff (18 hours flight)

    EDIT: turn it off since your not going to use it anyway, and it saves battery

    Just turn off wifi and bluetooth once you reach cruising altitude, and you're fine.

    Dont most major-airline companies give you free Wi-Fi whilst in the air?

    ... Also, "Airplane Mode" is just an outgoing connectivity block for cell phones so you dont incur any charges such as roaming, etc.

    Its completely un-needed for iPod touches, therefore, there is none.
    You dont even need to turn Wi-Fi off unless you really want to anyway...
