Well there this application that comes with a Nintendo DS called PictoChat and its basicly a touch screen IM service that has a pen where you touch, like in Sketch.app
I was wondering if there was a application for that, or a way to get onto that server to talk to your friends when there on there DS's

Would be good, but im like 99% sure it cannot be done, how would it interact with the DS? The ds doesnt have a wi-fi signal, it uses something else, and, just use Apollo to talk to your friends

the DS definately uses WiFi!! I have one myself, and I spent countless hours using WiFi, and more sad countless hours of playing Tetris over the internet using WiFi

Not only it doesn't use Wi-Fi, it requires 2 screens to use. A version of PictoChat that uses Wi-Fi and 1 screen, and made from scratch can work.

First, As i said earlier, im pretty sure that it does uses WiFi, because how else would i be able to connect to the EXACT same wireless network i use for my house, and iPod Touch.
And second, the both of the Nintendo DS screens are a square, and the iPod Touch's screen is a rectabgle. I'm pretty sure that this would work.

The ds HAS wifi, but it uses a different kind of connection for Picto chat.

The DS wifi isn't really real wifi as there isn't a dedicated browser for it and it is only used for multiplayer gaming mainly. On top of that, its processor is only 66 mhz and the cache size is way to small for any realtime browsing.
