    Hello,

I was recently at a piano store yesterday, and I saw a Yamaha piano with an ipod connected to it. The salesman said Yamaha and Apple came together and created a special piano that could play songs from your ipod. I tried to plug in my ipod, but it didn't work. he said the iPod is a special ipod that works with the piano. After getting home, I researched this technology, and found out that the piano has a PianoDisc player in it. After looking, learned the piano disc can be installed on any acoustic piano. I do not want to pay for a "special" ipod. Does anybody know if there is a special firmware or software hack I can use to get my ipod to work with this "pianoDisc"???

    Whoever said that fails.

In 3.0 (or 4.0, can't remember.) Apple made it so apps can communicate with accessories, (like radio docks, or in this case, a piano.)

All you would need is the app.
