Okay so I want to start developing iPhone Apps, it's probably a good idea for me to buy a Mac.

Which one should I buy...running what OS?...I've been a PC user my whole life...

funny how I know so much about the iPod Touch/iPhone, but know nothing about Mac OS haha

I'll probably go after a used one just because I just bought a brand new laptop PC, and I'm saving for a new car xD

    thanks. any input is appreciated.

I would suggest getting a Mac Mini or a refurb Macbook.

hmm. I was actually looking at a mac mini... is $225 a good deal on a refurbished one?

it honestly doesn't matter i just need something affordable that I can develop Apps on

any chance i could partition my current PC's hard drive to dual boot both XP Pro and Leopard OS? This might be a better route for me...

You could, but I would highly not recommend it. I would not develop on a hackentosh machine. There is so much that can go wrong. Try looking over at ModMyi.com's B | S | T section for a used mac mini or whatnot.

    OK so you will need

    • A mac
    • A brain
    • A book to learn how to program (Not necessary)
    • A desk (For head-desking when you get annoyed)
    • Coffee or other caffeine products for the long nights

It needs to be running leopard. (Apple says that you need an intel mac, but there are patches, etc. for powerpc macs.)
