    Hey

What exactly happens to a photo when they are transferred into the iPod Touch via itunes?

I have many pictures that are 640X480 in screen resolution. There are about 1000 over images that take up about 90MB on the computer.

But when they are transferred onto the touch using iTunes, they take up about 500MB!!

Is iTunes upsizing the pictures? Is there any way to prevent this? Is there any way to prevent iTunes from changing the dimensions of the pictures before they are synced across to the iPod?

Or.. Are there any other programs that can be used to sync photos across to the Touch without resizing them??

    Thanks!

1000 images? What could you possibly need 1000 images for? If it's what I think it is, that's just gross.

In any case, you can SSH them directly into the Camera Roll.

Well, beside being an enthusiastic iPodder, I'm also an enthusiastic photographer and I like my photos.

Besides, I find it rather nice viewing photos from the touch's screen.

Erm.. sorry. A newbie here. What is SSH? How do I SSH them directly into the Camera Roll?

Does it require jailbreaking? Cause I'm having second gen..So any method that can be done without jailbreaking?

Ya 500Mb isn't that much, but that's only 1000 photos.. I was planning on transferring 10000 photos in. So.. apparently there's no way to transfer the 1000 photos in and use the original only 90MB of space at the moment?

Well, I might jailbreak only after my warranty expires about 1 year from now!
