    Hey guys.

Does anyone know how i can backup my photos off my ipod in full resolution?
i have tried 3 or 4 different programs which haven't worked for a variety of reasons.
so it would be great if someone could direct me how to get them off through SSH.

    thanks for reading

There is a program called "Copytrans" but you have to pay for it

DiskAid is Free and you can drag all your photos out from the DCIM folder in your device.

The photos that you sync to the iPod are not in the DCIM folder, nor are they in any usable file format, just some weird stuff that's only recognized on the iPod. Also, you would not be able to extract them at full resolution if you could, because when they are sized down during the syncing process the old high res information is not kept on the iPod.

    Im using windows vista.

    thanks for this info.

because of what Redshift has said, i just wont worry about backing up my photos. i'll just leave them were they are.

thanks to everyone who on contributed =)
