phone as router for ipod touch

    i wanted to find a way to use my phone as a wifi so i can use the touch anywhere i go,anyone ever heard of wmwifirouter,they claim you can use your phone into a wireless router ,anyone ever heard of them or tried it?

    I am doing it daily! I installed Joikuspot on my Nokia N82 and now my Ipod use it as a hotspot, works perfect and no need for me to spend lot of money on a Iphone

    i think im gonna try Joikuspot,because wmwifirouter just isnt working for me,thanks for the reply man

    i have the sprint htc touch pro,ive downloaded wmwifirouter with no problems and the itouch picks up the wifi that my sprint phone is giving off but when i try using safari it says
    "safari cannot open page" what im doing wrong?

    This would be an awesome idea if it works. I have the LG Dare does anyone know if those software can dl on my phone to make it a wifi hotspot? please let me know by pm me. Thanx

    pretty sure you can setup an ad-hoc network between your phone and your touch and get the internet working. my friend got it working actually.

    Regarding Joikuspot I guess they at moment just support Symbian
    devices Series 60 3rd/5th Edition. They said they soon might get
    it to work with Maemo as well (Nokia N900). But buy a cheap second
    hand device for this is a good idea as well.

    Would this work with a Samsung Gravity? or does it have to be a smartphone?

    The wmwifirouter thing only works on some smartphones. And yes your HTC Pro is supported.
