I have an iPhone 4S which is awesome and works awesome and is awesome in every kind of way, but I recommend the One X because all the reviews say it's the next flagship model for HTC, and I really think the design is sexy.

I would go with the 4s. I have an iPhone 4 that i loved but had to change carriers. I now have the galaxy s2. Ive had it a couple of weeks and its a nice phone but the screen is already scratched and it just feels cheaply made. The apps are ok i havent really had any problems with them yet but I just prefer the iphone os over android.

These claims aren't completely "baseless". There may not be published information about, but as a former Android user, I know that what he says is true, but it's not a HUGE problem. Also, I seem to hear about lots of things going wrong with Android phones as they age (almost all my friends that have an Android phone have some sort of problem with it, ranging from the phone flipping out and doing random things to the keyboard getting screwed up and more), whereas I've never heard of things like that happening as an iPhone ages.

Also, in reply to the One X having the "best screen on the market", you're going to have to specify more (how is it the best screen?), because a 720p screen is nowhere near as clear as the Retina displays.

because a 720p screen is nowhere near as clear as the Retina display... WHAT?
the One X uses Super LCD2 display technology. all the reviewers say it's the best display ever on any device. apparently Sony is also using something called WhiteMagic for their display and users say it's really brilliant, but still One X gets the crown for best display right now. i'm really fan of SAMOLED display, when SIII and One X was put side by side, the One X display blew out the SIII by miles.

The iPhone has the best screen on the market STILL. 326 PPI vs. ~312 PPI.

Just the best PPI, not quite the best size/resolution. This will change very soon.

but as a user, you cannot see the difference once it's over 300ppi so? i don't think there is anyone who has said they can see pixels on GNex or any recent ICS phone which are all 720p display. also if ppi is the term for the market king in display, the iPhone still isn't the best. there are display with higher ppi on a phone than iPhone like this http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2385574,00.asp
i think Sony's WhiteMagic as well as Super LCD2 has caught up and beaten both SAMOLED and iPhone 4/4S retina display in terms near-perfect color production and contrast in display quality.

A higher PPI in a smaller screen. I think the retina display wins.

Okay, that's the kind of clarification I was looking for, thank you.
