Phantom Applications in Firmware 2.0.1

    When moving icons around Springboard, isn't there always an extra dot, or page, at the bottom of the screen, even if there isn't anything on it? All that means is the iPod is giving you the option to create another page.

    As for the phantom apps, I have a hard time understanding what he is saying. Is Bubbles the phantom app?

    No, it's the tiny little thing (like an icon but alot smaller and it disppears in a flash) beside it. I think it's some game that I attempted to download and failed.

    I've had this, I got it after updating an app, the install failed, and every time I wiggled the apps, a small app would appear and disappear as if I was deleting it.

    actually there are references to these "phantom" apps... i was able to extract the contents of the .artwork files using saurik's UIImages, i was scrolling through the images and i saw these

    it is a bug, ive had it before. those overlays are what the device applys to the Application's icon to keep all icons looking uniform
