    Hey guys & gals.

Once again, it seems that I have a persistent wifi issue with my ipod touch 4g.

I know a restore should fix it, however, is there an easier way?

What apps have caused persistent wifi issues for you (so I can delete it and fix the issue--assuming I have the app)?

Yes, push is off, notification all off.

I hate to bump up but I really don't want to re-post. So anyone please?

Well just try rebooting your iTouch. And if that doesn't work just try to restore. Let me know if you have more problems.

I just turn on Airplane mode when I don't want wifi. Takes 2 seconds.

Make sure the following are set:
    -Push Notifications > OFF
    -Push (Mail/Calendars) > OFF
    -Fetch (Mail) > OFF
-Set the mail schedule to > MANUAL
    Reboot (just in case).

If that doesn't work, restore. If that doesn't work, you'll have to live with it until the jailbreak, there might be a tweak that fixes this.

go to system/library/launchdaemons and delete com.apple.aspd.plist

It controls push and persistent wifi. Also if you have insomnia delete it. Its safe I got itfrom delete launchdaemons to speed up your device

Nice to know his iPod is already jailbroken... How does he do that again? LOL... Just giving you a hard time.

He really can't do that because he can't delete launch daemons, no jailbreak for the new iPod yet. The best he can do is turn everything off, or go into airplane mode.

All this has been done a million times over.

Man will it kill apple to have a togle for persistant wifi.

I rather do toggle whenever i want persistent wifi then toggle for airplane mode.
