Hey just a few questions about permissions
    1) I was reading a post about how not to brick you ipod, and the post said smthg like "you see one of you apps running slow so you decide to change you permissions to 777" wut is dat?
    2) Wut will it do?
    3) When do you use it?
    4) How do I change permissions

permissions is regarding what apps/files etc. can read, write or run.
changing them will allow an application to change more, and often fixes problems to do with read/write.
Use it when you get an app that doesn't save, or can't read something, or when you ask about a problem and someone tells you it fixes it etc.
and you change them with either finder or mobilebrowser on your iPod, or by SSHing into the iPod and changing them using properties/more info button.
777 basically gives all read, write and execute allowances to everything in that program.
