I am following the Mac intel guide for jailbreaking, and have come as far as to the "Installing Trip1PogoStick Via FTP". Everything goes perfect until I am typing in the command "~/Trip1PogoStick/temp/springpatch". Terminal then tells me "Permission denied".

    Help?

    Terminal looks like this:

    HTML:
    -sh-3.2# ~/Trip1PogoStick/temp/springpatch
    -sh: /var/root/Trip1PogoStick/temp/springpatch: Permission denied

Try using sudo first before the command and use the password again

I am sorry, I am a bit new to Terminal. I am in SSH... How exactly would I type in the sudo command?

And I just responded to it.

You might also want to chmod that folder as executable... the problem may be that you don't have execute permission there (as is the case with the applications you manually move into the /Applications folder).

    chmod -R a+x /var/root/Trip1PogoStick/*

Funny thing is that even without running the Springboard binary I can still use the iPhone calendar with the add function. I Just can't add more apps to the springboard. So what the heck do I do?! I have tried all three ways of installing the Springboard hack. "Permission denied" my a$$!
